What is near Playa Blanca?
The Playa Blanca Resort is located on the Pacific coast of Panama, west of Panama City. From this starting point there are a number of interesting places to visit and things to do.
The Pacific coast of Panama is world famous for sport fishing. Ask the concierge about charters and you can catch a marlin or sailfish. Besides fishing in the ocean, some charter operators will take into Panama, for trout fishing in rivers or lakes enormous sergeants.
The mountains in the interior of Panama is a dream of ecotourism. Rent a car and go to the Valley. The extinct volcanic caldera is a green paradise.

Around The Valley are the waterfalls. They are most impressive from May to December, it is rainy season in Panama. Visit Chorro El Macho, just five minutes from the center of El Valle.
This beautiful part of Panama has been inhabited long before Columbus, so if you have time, ask about the petroglyphs. This part of the world, it was warm and wonderful during the last ice age!
There are a number of walking tours throughout the Valley. There are also a number of good restaurants in town, including the House of Lourdes at Hotel The Mandarins and Orchid Room at the Hotel Valle de Anton.
